The Steadward Centre for Personal & Physical Achievement, The Alberta Sport Development Centre – Capital Region, The Canadian Paraplegic Association (Alberta), and The MS Society of Canada – Edmonton Chapter would like to invite your fitness centre’s staff, management and fitness professionals to attend a full day workshop. The workshop is intended to provide information and knowledge about physical activity and accessibility considerations for persons with physical
disabilities.
The workshop will take place on Thursday May 13th, 2010 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at Foote Field –
University of Alberta (11601 - 68 Avenue NW, Edmonton). The registration fee for the workshop is
$50 per person, which will include lunch, and refreshments.
The deadline to register is May 10th, 2010.

Hello Members, as promised, here are the details for the 2010 AGM.
Date: Saturday, January 30th, 2010
Start Time: 1 pm sharp
Location: Millard Health
Edmonton, AB (click link above for directions). Please enter through the back entrance of the building.
*** All Members who RSVP to info@albertakinesiology.ca before January 27, 2010 will receive a FREE AKA dri-fit t-shirt with attendance.***
Agenda:
1-2pm: Special Presentation by Jim Scheibel of Mission Wellness with focus on nutrition as well as strategies for growing and marketing your business in 2010 (5 PDC credits).
2-3pm: AGM discussions and review of 2009 (5 PDC credits).
Also to note, AKA Board positions are up for election including but not limited to: President, President Elect and VP of Marketing. If you are looking to get involved with your professional organization her is your opportunity.

Another year has come and gone along with the deadline for membership renewal. If we did not recieve your renewal by December 31, 2009 there may be a lapse in your insurance coverage until processing has been completed.
To those members who have completed the membership renewal, please be advised the Member’s Section now has a new password which is contained in your renewal receipt package. Please use the new password to access the Member’s Section of this website.
