This course will equip exercise professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to manage COPD through exercise-based approaches. In this comprehensive 2-hour online course, you will explore:

  • The pathophysiology of COPD and the role of exercise in managing it

  • Pulmonary rehabilitation techniques and emerging strategies for remote training
  • The normal cardiorespiratory response to exercise and how it relates to COPD
  • The benefits of pulmonary rehabilitation participation and limitations within Canada
  • The impact of COVID-19 on pulmonary rehabilitation and the potential role of at-home exercise training

COURSE COMPONENTS
