Job Description/Responsibilities
The Bridge Sports Therapy and Training is seeking a full time (30+ hours per week) sports-based strength and conditioning coach with a commitment to personal development for our NEW Bridge - St. Albert location. Our clinic consists of a team of Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Massage Therapists, Athletic Therapists, Strength and Conditioning Coaches, Kinesiologists, and Trainers.
We are looking for someone to join our cutting edge and progressive health care team. You will work with an interdisciplinary team in a new, upbeat, and modern clinic. We are looking for an individual who has excellent critical thinking skills and strives to provide a high standard of evidence-based practice. Our clinic environment is lively and strives to bring a very high standard of care to the Sherwood Park and Edmonton area.
Our clinic is committed to and focused towards:

Active individuals and athlete-focused treatment and rehabilitation

1 to 1 sessions; rehab process integrated with strength and conditioning principles

Using skills of movement and exercise focused treatment

Being a patient referral driven clinic

Close coordination with Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Massage Therapists, and Strength and Conditioning coaches to facilitate return to sport/activity

Insurance files such as motor vehicle accidents, WCB, and 3rd party insurance providers with an active based rehab approach for these populations
Kinesiologists/Strength Coaches who join us can expect:

A starting hourly wage with future commission based add ons.

To help carry out athlete and individual rehabilitation and training program

To help lead training sessions for teams and group classes

An abundance of cross-referrals from existing Physiotherapist and Chiropractors

Access to our large facility with a full gym worth of equipment and turf field

Strong clinical mentorship from other health care members

Occasionally assist with administrative tasks as needed

Full reception services and support

Daily hours with availability from 6:30am to 8pm to maximize your caseload
Qualifications Required

Current individual malpractice insurance
-
Graduate of University Kinesiology degree program

Registration with or eligibility for registration with the Alberta Kinesiology Association (AKA)

Certifications of Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) or Certified Exercise Physiologist (CSEP-CEP) is an asset
